The Drop Bear by Hiro Inkin
A hoax, a fiction, a legend ... Often spoken about but little known, the drop bear is one of Australia's most contested species, suggested to exist only as an urban myth to scare tourists. This book proves otherwise. The Thylarctos plummetus (aka 'Drop Bear') is very much alive! The notes and sketches on these pages form a collection of findings from a two-year survey in pursuit of the world’s most mysterious marsupial. Prepare to meet the Drop Bear.. About the Illustrator Chris Edser currently lives and draws in Adelaide, Australia, where he animates characters, draws Australian wildlife, and carves things out of wood. Chris has a Bachelor of Visual Communications (Illustration), where he has since taught an animation course and occasional illustration classes. Chris has created animation for theatre productions Rumpelstiltskin (State Theatre Company and Windmill Theatre Co.) and Baba Yaga (Windmill Theatre Co.) While Chris has a long history with illustration, he is new to the world of Children's Publishing and Meet the Drop Bear is his first picture book.
