This is The Peated 2016 Release from Chichibu distillery. Produced from heavily peated malt, it was distilled in 2012 and bottled in 2016 at cask strength. Despite the intense smoke, this is a smooth and balanced Single Malt with a subtle hint of gentle fruit.
Only 6,350 bottles released.

    Nose:    Really peaty, little smoky, vanilla, citric, honey, iodine, fruity, cookie dough.

    Taste:    Peaty, fruity, little citric, vanilla, honey, some bonfire.

    Finish:   Long, warm, more peat, citric.
