'A Party in your Mouth'

This whisky was distilled on 13th October 2008 and has been aged for a total of 12 years in first fill ex-PX American oak hogshead. Distilled at Macallan distillery and bottled by The Scotch Malt Whisky Society (SMWS).
Only 332 bottles released.

    Nose:    Strong alcohol, alcoholic wood-treatment, wood-polish, maple syrup, caramel toffee.

    Taste:    Chestnuts, old wood...water opens it up a little bit, grapefruits and orange zest are appearing, but dry and bitter notes are also getting more present.

    Finish:   Warm, spicy, short and peppery, bitter notes in the end. The finish reminds me of a too strong black tea.
