Cat6 Network Cables (also known as Ethernet Cables, LAN Cables, Patch Cables) are used to connect devices within a network, such as a computer to a modem or router. These can also be used to connect other devices, such as your Smart TV, Blu-Ray player or Network Receiver to access various features that require the internet. Cat6 Network Cables are backwards compatible with older networks and devices and will work alongside Cat5 / Cat5e cables, however performance will only be as fast as the device being connected to / from. Full Cat6 speeds and performance require Cat6 enabled devices.

The&RCM&compliance mark is used to indicate compliance to any ACMA regulatory arrangement for suppliers registered on the national database, a registration of Australian Responsible Suppliers that declare the items they sell or supply meet relevant standards and are electrically safe.

Our cables were tested by&ACMA-recognised&Austest Laboratories&and were found to be fully compliant with the Communications Alliance /&Australian Standards&AS/CA S008:2010 Requirments for Customer Cabling Products standard.

The&ACMA&is a government agency responsible for the regulation of broadcasting, the internet, radiocommunications and telecommunications.

The ACMA's responsibilities include:
- promoting self-regulation and competition in the communications industry, while protecting consumers and other users
- fostering an environment in which electronic media respect community standards and respond to audience and user needs
- managing access to the radiofrequency spectrum
- representing Australia 's communications interests internationally.

Why Compliance is Important:
There are many sellers offering network cables that do not meet the specifications set out in the Category 6 certification or that have not passed the Australian Standard RCM certification tests, set out by the ACMA (Australian Communications and Media Authority). If other sellers don't display the RCM "tick" logo, don't buy from them! In order to display the RCM logo cables must achieve a high standard in quality of materials and construction. The&Regulatory Compliance Mark (RCM) must only be applied to items that have been tested

Suitable for,&approved, and certified in Australia. It is an offence for a person to sell cables marked or marketed as RCM unless they have been approved and certified.

Category 6&(Cat6)&cables&feature much more stringent specifications for protection against cross-talk&and system noise than&Cat5 and Cat5e cables. This makes Cat6 cables the standard for gigabit ethernet networks, and the popular choice for fast reliable home or office network situations. These premium network data cables are designed to provide fantactic performance and data integrity for general use or when installed in walls or ceilings.

The overall cable is protected/ shielded from outside interference with 3 layers for superior protection against EMI (electromagnetic interference).
