The Feelies were one of the most unique and influential New York bands of the early '80s, emerging in the post-punk scene in 1979 with skittery rhythm driven avant-garde pop. To this day they remain a key cornerstone of American indie music, having a major influence on the likes of REM, Weezer, Sebadoh, Yo La Tengo among many others and counting Talking Heads, Neil Young, Wire, B-52?s, and Pere Ubu amongst their peers. 'HERE BEFORE' marks the first Feelies of all new material album in nearly 20 years and features founding members Glenn Mercer and Bill Million alongside the line-up first featured on "The Good Earth?: Brenda Sauter, Stanley Demeski and Dave Weckerman.
