Overview

The Sky-Watcher 127/1500 Star Discovery Maksutov-Cassegrain is a compact and powerful optical design, utilizing a front meniscus lens and two mirrors. The sealed optical tube protects the mirrors from atmospheric elements like humidity, dust, and pollution. Despite its short tube, the long focal length enables high magnification with standard eyepieces. With a maximum practical magnification of 254x, this telescope unveils details in Saturn's rings, Jupiter's bands, the Martian polar ice caps, and the phases of Venus and the moon.

Designed for beginners and those eager to start observing, the Sky-Watcher 127 Star Discovery is a fully automatic telescope. Aligning the mount takes minutes with the "Bright Object" alignment mode, and the SynScan system, with over 42,000 objects, offers automatic pointing and tracking. This user-friendly experience allows more time for observing, making astronomy more accessible.

The Star Discovery mount, an upgrade from the Star Explorer, features Freedom Find dual encoder technology. Once aligned, the telescope can be manually pointed anywhere in the sky without losing alignment, providing users with freedom, convenience, and flexibility during observations.
