Uchu Umeshu 720ml

Uchu Umeshu is made with premium Oushukubai ume from Oita, and is aged for a minimum of three years. The extra ageing lends shimmering copper highlights to the amber toned hue of this rich and bold umeshu. Initial nosing sparks memories of Portello, cough lozenge, a hint of spearmint, before the subtle plum and peach notes show with air. Deep and viscous, the generous sweetness amplifies the flavours, as does the alcohol. Displaying a pleasing mix of red berry and plum flavours with more savoury vanilla, nougat, and tonka bean flavours, there's a lot to take in. One to serve over ice or with soda as a long drink. 20% Alc./Vol. Refrigerate after opening.
