Glendronach Revival 15 Year Old (Older Packaging) Single Malt Scotch Whisky 700ml

The Glendronach 15 Year Old was one of their most popular expressions before its closure in 1996. Launched in 2009, the Revival was also loved, and the news in 2015 that it was to be discontinued was met with much dismay. After three years Glendronach’s 15 Year Old expression returned in 2018.
The expression did indeed undergo a 'Revival,' re-launched in 2018. This is the 2015 version and although they are packaged as the same product, they are two subtly different whiskies. The current Revival is a combination of Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks, whereas this original is exclusively matured in Oloroso sherry casks.

    Nose:    Slightly oily nose with a touch of new make, caramel chocolate sherry.

    Taste:    Sweet warm spicy with a growing taste, fruits and vanilla.

    Finish:    Long and drying off a bit at the end.
