Frequently Asked Questions
-
Does it have ISOfix?
The InfaSecure Achieve is not ISOfix compatible as it is a 0-8 child restraint, and the AS/NZS 1754 standard does not allow ISOFix on child restraints that cater for children over the age of 8. -
Does it have breathable fabric?
It does! The InfaSecure Achieve More features out beautiful ActiveBamboo material, you can read more about that -
Is it machine washable?
Yes! Our ActiveBamboo fabric is completely machine washable on a cool, gentle cycle (line dry only!) and conveniently you don't have to uninstall the seat to remove the covers! Just gently pull the cover away from the press studs and pop it in the wash. -
Will this fit in my car?
The InfaSecure Achieve fits in a wide range of different vehicles, however fitment is often dependent on the passenger/driver sitting in front of the installed child restraint. As it caters to children up to 8 it does have a longer rearward facing depth than a seat like our compact InfaSecure Attain, so it's best to trial in person to ensure it meets your needs. It fits in a surprising amount of different sized vehicles so don't discount it until you've tried it! -
Does it feature Twist & Lift?
Yes! Our InfaSecure Achieve features our trademark one-handed adjustment mechanism, allowing for quick and easy adjustments for the perfect harness fit in seconds from the front of the restraint. -
What's the difference between the InfaSecure Achieve More and the InfaSecure Achieve Premium?
The only difference between the two models is slight cosmetic differences in the cover construction and colour options - they are otherwise the same seat! -
Can it be used onboard an aircraft?
The InfaSecure Achieve is not CASA approved (Civil Aviation Safety Authority) however some domestic airlines (like Qantas) allow convertible car seats like the InfaSecure Achieve onboard with prior approval on many aircrafts. If CASA approval is required, our InfaSecure Adapt More is a great option which you can see . -
Does the InfaSecure Achieve allow extended rearward facing?
Yes! The InfaSecure Achieve is suitable for extended rearward facing, up to approx. a large 30 month old, or average size 3 year old based off of their seated shoulder height. You can read more about extended rearward facing here -
My child is 6 years old, can they use the inbuilt harness?
Yes, provided they are within the seated shoulder height limits. Just because the law states a child over the age of 4 can use a dedicated booster seat, it doesn't mean they have to. We know so many kids over the age of 6 (even 10!) who have remained harnessed in their Acheive child restraints until they've maxed the limist completely, above the age fo 6. -
Does this seat convert to booster using the seatbelt?
The InfaSecure Achieve is an A4/G child restraint, which means that it uses the inbuilt harness all the way to 8 years, or until the seat is outgrown. This means it does not convert to booster mode once the top shoulder height market is reached. -
Can I install this with a lap belt?
Yes! The InfaSecure Achieve can be installed using a lap belt only seating position in the vehicle, provided there is also an anchor point location, and/or the middle seating position is not a 50/50 split. It's actually a really great option to keep kids restrained safely for longer, where a lap belt is the only seating -
What is the weight limit for the seat?
All of our child restraints are certified to the AS/NZS 1754 standard, which means there are no weight limits! Weight is not the best indicator of when a child is ready for the next stage, whereas shoulder height markers (which are a mandatory feature under the AS/NZS 1754) give parents and carers an easy to understand, visual reference for suitability of a car seat. -
What cover is suitable for this seat? Can I use an alternative cover for my seat?
The suitable replacement cover for the InfaSecure Achieve More can be purchased here. You can only replace the cover with the same model type, and these cannot be purchased or used from third party companies.
