Golden Care Wenge Teak Protector (Coffee Brown)

Overview

The Golden Care Wenge Teak Protector (Coffee Brown) turns new teak into black-brown teak. It maintains the black-brown colour for a longer time. Also suitable for other hardwoods. It matches teak tables with the black or grey colour of wicker chairs and cushions. Furthermore it helps hiding sapwood.

Golden Care products are water-based and non-greasy. They do not contain hazardous VOCs, helping to provide better outdoor air quality compared to similar traditional care & cleaning products.

It is strongly recommended to treat the surface with Golden Care Hardwood & Teak Water-Repellent Shield to prevent stains after applying this protector.

Instructions for Use

Before using this product, eye protection and rubber gloves should be worn. Cover the ground under your work area before starting.

Grey teak or teak treated with teak-oil must first be cleaned with Golden Care Teak & Hardwood Cleaner & Colour Restorer.

New wood: first clean with Golden Care Teak & Hardwood Cleaner & Colour Restorer to remove some of the natural oils (or weather for 2 weeks outside before treatment).

If cleaned wood feels rough, sand lightly before treating with protector. Make sure the wood is 100% dry and free of dust.

Shake and stir this protector at least a minute before use. Insufficient shaking can lead to uneven weathering

We suggest you try this protector on a small area first (e.g. the back of a leg) to judge if the colour meets your expectations.

Apply a very thin layer of this protector evenly over the furniture with a dust free cloth. Apply a second very thin coat after 30 minutes drying time.

It is recommended that you treat your furniture with this protector at least once a year.
