The so-called "raglan" sleeves thatgo up to the neckline allow for better stretch and free up your movementsduring your hike. A warm layer, such as a fleece or a light down jacket, canbe worn underneath. You can choose your usual size, or a size up if you don'twant to wear it fitted. ; Hood: The hood is attached, adjustable in height anddepth thanks to an elasticated drawstring. The small detail that makes thedifference: a triangular opening on the side of the hood for better visibilityto the sides. ; JACKET CONSTRUCTION / 3 LAYERS: This jacket is built with 3layers, the best protection on the market: the membrane is glued between theinner layer and the outer layer of the component (hence the name 3-layercomponent). The membrane is a kind of very thin polyurethane film, which makesthe component waterproof, while remaining breathable. It is protected by aknit, and has the advantage of being softer, lighter, more resistant and oftenmore breathable than a coating. ; HOW DO I CARE FOR MY JACKET?: This jackethas waterproof strips (to ensure perfect waterproofing) that are sensitive tomachine washing and can peel off over time. We therefore recommend using asponge with water to clean any traces on your jacket, and that you very rarelywash it in the washing machine at 30°C, if you want it to accompany you on ahike for as long as possible. ; WATERPROOF TESTING: Impermeability is measuredby the resistance of a fabric to water pressure expressed in mm of watercolumn (test based on the JIS L 1092 standard). The higher the pressure, themore waterproof the fabric. The component of this product has a waterproofingof 20000 mm and therefore withstands the pressure exerted by 20000 mm of watercolumn. It is also equivalent to 20000 Schmerbers.
