Sea Legs West Coast IPA 7.5% – 16 Pack
TASTING NOTES
There’s always been a seven-and-a-half percent West Coast IPA in the range at Sea Legs. It’s in the walls. It’s in the floor. It’s soaked deep into the skin of the brewers and bartenders, and now flows through their veins in place of blood. The problem is that this IPA drinks like a pale ale. Don’t misunderstand me: I don’t mean it tastes light. It’s got body, it’s got texture, it’s got weight to it. It’s more that it has the balance of a pale ale… just with the volume turned right up. So you appreciate the gorgeous gold shine, but it’s clear as a bell. And you sip on the bitey resin and ripe stonefruit, but it holds dry. And you take a punch from the stoic bitterness, but it’s nothing you can’t handle. And before you know it, you’ve finished your drink, and before you know it, you’ve started your second one. And then you’re on your third one, and it’s only now that you start to wonder where the time went. And where your keys are. And who you’re talking to. But while you’re trying to figure out the answers, well, it’d be rude not to have another West Coast IPA.
