Positionedspecifically for the Small to Medium Business (SMB) market, as well asdepartments of Large Enterprise (LE), the solution is ideal for supportingserver and workgroup applications where high levels of sustained read andwrite operations are required.The 8 lane PCI-Express SAS Controller offers full hardware RAID functionalityand has 256 MB ECC memory. It can handle medium to large capacity serverstorage applications by connecting one or two internal x4 SFF-8470 connectorsto the server internal storage. The single external x4 SFF-8484 connector maybe used for attachment to an IBM System Storage EXP3000 JBOD SAS enclosure ifonly one internal connector is utilized.
