Welcome to the new Lasoo Voice Experience!
You can now add items to your Lasoo List just by using your voice on your Google Assistant device . All you need to do to get started is say “Hey Google, talk to Lasoo”. You may need to try a couple of times as Google needs to double confirm your voice. Once you hear the whip crack, you’re in! You will need to provide your postcode so we can find relevant deals for you, but that’s all that we require for you start to look up or add items to your list. We do suggest linking your voice to your Lasoo account so that all your items whether added by web, app or voice all appear on your Lasoo Account’s List. So go ahead, start adding some items to your list without lifting a finger! If you do run into trouble, we have our FAQs below to help you out or you can email voice@lasoo.com.au

What is the Lasoo voice app?

Lasoo helps you find cracking deals for common items you really need to buy, simply by keeping your shopping list in Lasoo - It's super quick and easy using your voice! It's a bit like a paper list, only better - It's hands-free, you can't lose it and everyone in the house can access it at any time (with Account Linking).

How do I access Lasoo on the Google Home (or the Google Assistant)?
Just say "Hey/Ok Google, talk to Lasoo”. Hints: Certain ‘Activity Controls’ on your Google account can stop Lasoo from working, andwe won’t be able to store your shopping list or postcode to find nearby deals. Check your Google Account activity controls here: https://myaccount.google.com/activitycontrols, and check that the first two settings under ‘Web & App Activity’ are on and ticked, otherwise Lasoo won’t work for you. If you’re using a Google Home device, try a couple of times to be sure the Google Assistant has recognised you from your voice. If you still can’t access Lasoo, you may need to setup Voice Match via the Google Home app on your mobile.
What can I do with the Lasoo voice?
You can:
  • Ask for deals on any item you might find on lasoo.com.au
  • Add anything to your Lasoo shopping list
  • Hear the list
  • Delete an item from the list
  • Clear the whole list
  • See the list on your mobile - Either with the Lasoo mobile app, or the Google Assistant mobile app
  • Share your Lasoo list with any other voice user via “Account linking”
How can I add items to the shopping list?
Once you are in the Lasoo voice, just say: "Add peanut butter" After you've had a bit of practice, you can start right off with: "Hey Google, ask Lasoo to add Vegemite"
How do I clear the whole shopping list?
Just say “Clear the list” or "Delete everything", for example. Lasoo will confirm you really want to clear the whole list, before clearing it.
How do I add multiple items to my shopping list?
Add one item at a time by saying "Add <item>", and then waiting for the confirmation. Once you’ve had some practice, you can add multiple items even faster by saying "Add <A> and <B> and <C>" without pausing. - Just make sure you say “and” after every item. - It’s a little unnatural, but essential to put multiple items on your list in one go.
Where is my list stored?
Your list is stored in Lasoo data servers. For more information please see Lasoo’s Privacy Statement.
How do I delete an item with a strange name that got on my list?
This can be tricky. If your list has "Hmphngl bread", how do you pronounce "delete Hmphngl bread"? Try "Delete the bread". If there is no other bread, that should work. Otherwise, just ignore the item when you are at the shops, and next time you ‘clear the whole list’, it will be deleted.
How do I check if an item is on the list or not?
Just say "Is on my list?", and Lasoo will check for you. If you ask about “bread”, Lasoo is smart enough to check for “flat bread” or “wholegrain bread” and tell you about those if they are on your list. You can also use the options to 'see' your list on your Lasoo mobile app (if you’ve linked your account) or you can check within the Google Assistant mobile app with a “show me my list” prompt.
Is an item on my list already? How do I check?
Just ask Lasoo to add the item to your list. Lasoo will let you know if that same item is already on your list, and will give you a choice what to do next. You can also ask “Is on my list?”, but if you want the item on your list either way, it’s usually faster just to “add” it and Lasoo will let you know if you are doubling up.
How can I take the shopping list to the store with me?
You can link your Lasoo voice experience with your Lasoo account. All you need to do is ask Lasoo to link your account and then follow the prompts where you’ll be asked to login to your Lasoo account. Alternatively, you can access your list via a temporary webpage. Here’s how:
  1. Install the “Google Assistant” app on your mobile if you haven’t got it already (Be sure to use the same Google account)
  2. In the Google Assistant app: “Ask Lasoo to show me my list”
  3. Tap the link on screen to “Open my Lasoo list”
We would recommend linking your account, that way your list updates from mobile to voice and voice to mobile automatically without you needing to prompt Lasoo.
How can I share my shopping list with other family members?
To share a list between different Google users, it is required to have one Lasoo account setup on web/mobile, and then multiple voice users ‘Link’ to that one account. Essentially, one person ‘owns’ the list, and this person ‘shares’ their list with others. First steps:
  1. On the Google Assistant on mobile, the list owner should be talking to Lasoo (“Hey Google talk to Lasoo”)
  2. When talking to Lasoo on mobile, ask: “Link to an online account”
  3. Create or enter the credentials of a Lasoo online account
  4. After confirming your online account, Lasoo should confirm you are linked and can share your list.
Then, for each other person that wants to share the list, repeat the process above on each person’s own mobile device This process results in multiple voice users all being linked to the same Lasoo online account, and hence sharing the same list. If you have difficulties, first check FAQ #2 here, then if problems persist, please email as much information as possible to voice@lasoo.com.au - Mobile screen shots of the problem would be great!
How can I hear my whole shopping list?
Just ask Lasoo “What’s on my list”.
Once I clear my list in the voice app, is it going to clear my list online as well?
Yes, if your voice account is linked to a Lasoo online account.
How can I merge the voice list with the online list?
If you have already 'linked' to your Lasoo account online, then the lists are one and the same! They are already merged! If you have a list in voice before you link your account, then when you carry out the voice linking step, the two lists will be merged and you will end up with the sum of both lists.
Can I create multiple lists?
With the current version of Lasoo List, you cannot create multiple lists. This feature is on our product roadmap and may be addressed in future releases.
What does Lasoo do with my shopping list?
Lasoo uses the items that you add to your list to find deals that are relevant and timely for your intended purchases. For more information please refer to the Lasoo Privacy Statement.
How secure is my shopping list?
Lasoo uses industry standard encryption and security methods to secure your Lasoo data. Voice access to your Lasoo list through Google voice devices is controlled by Google’s Voice Match feature of those devices.
How do I link to my lasoo online account?
Currently, it’s necessary to use the Google Assistant app on your mobile to link to an online Lasoo account.
  1. Install the “Google Assistant” app on your mobile if necessary (Be sure to use the same Google account)
  2. In the Google Assistant: “Ask Lasoo to link my account” And follow the prompts.
Note that you can link multiple voice users to one Lasoo online account, to share a list. See the specific FAQ for that scenario.
Lasoo can't understand the product I say, what should I do?
Try using different alternatives for the same product. For example instead of saying “Helga's bread” perhaps try just “bread” - When you get to the store, you will probably know what bread you really need! Alternatively, you could use the Google Assistant app on your mobile to type “add Helga’s bread” while talking to the Lasoo voice app.
How can I add items faster?
The best short-cut is to add an item as you start Lasoo voice. just start with: "Hey Google ask Lasoo to add bread" This will avoid the usual short Welcome, and add the item. You can then add another item with another "add " request.
Can I unlink my voice account from Lasoo account?
To unlink your Google voice account from a Lasoo online account, the two methods supported by Google are as follows:
  1. In a web browser:
    1. Be sure you are logged into the browser as the same Google account that you are using with the Google assistant. E.g. Go to https://myaccount.google.com/ and check the very top-right corner of the page
    2. Go to https://assistant.google.com/explore and search for the app (“Lasoo”)
    3. Click through to see the information page for “Lasoo”
    4. If you see “Unlink” near the top - Click it to unlink your accounts
  2. Via the Google Assistant app on mobile:
    1. Click the ‘compass’ icon (Typically at the bottom left of the screen)
    2. Search for the app (“Lasoo”)
    3. Tap through to see the information page for “Lasoo”
    4. Swipe up to get near the bottom of the information page
    5. If you see “Account status … UNLINK”, then tap “UNLINK” to unlink your accounts
    If you don’t see “Unlink” in either method, then your Google account is not linked to a Lasoo online account.
