The Australian mobile phone industry waited with baited breath for the Motorola MOTO Q 9h.
It was widely hyped as being the next great smartphone to hit our shores - and no one was disappointed when it finally launched here in mid-2007.
Most notable is the fact that it runs on Windows Mobile 6, the latest version of the portable operating system from Microsoft. The Motorola MOTO Q 9h has a strong focus on email, so if you're a business user who needs that capability on your mobile phone, then this handset should be on your smartphone shortlist. It features a full QWERTY keypad - similar to the BlackBerry smartphones - however this keypad is far more comfortable to use.
Aside from the fantastic email support, it also boasts some nice multimedia functions. There's a 2-megapixel camera that shoots both stills and video and the handset can play back a range of audio and video files. You can store everything on the ample internal memory, and there's also a MicroSD slot if you need more storage.
Despite all the features packed into the handset, the MOTO Q is a slim model that should fit comfortably in most pockets without an obvious bulge. Its footprint isn't the smallest of any smartphone around, but if you're looking for features, the MOTO Q is a strong contender.
