As the first major update to the popular V3 mobile phone, the Motorola MOTOKRZR K1 was one of the most eagerly anticipated releases of 2006 - and it didn't disappoint.
Even though the MOTOKRZR K1 is not the newest kid on the mobile phone block now, it's still a mighty impressive package. Boasting a similar (but smaller) design to the Motorola V3, the K1 is a solid and attractive phone finished in blue, black, gold, red or silver. I also love the larger keys, characteristic of most Motorola handsets, which are perfect for clumsy or larger fingers.
The KRZR K1 isn't just a pretty package - it's also an extremely functional and easy-to-use mobile phone. Connectivity on this model is particularly noteworthy (it comes with quad-band GSM, GPRS/EDGE data transfer and Bluetooth 2.0). Other features include a 2-megapixel camera and an MP3/AAC music player - you can store music and photos on the 18MB internal memory.
If you like to play games on your mobile phone handset, then you'll love the K1. Rather than the standard video arcade-type games present on other phones, the K1 includes challenging Sudoku games. And last but not least, it's good to see that the battery life of the Motorola K1 has improved significantly over the original V3.
