Apple TV is one of the most cost-effective media centre or storage options around. It brings your iTunes and iPod content to your big screen quickly and easily.
In fact, your computer doesn't even have to be switched on to stream your iTunes content to your LCD or plasma TV, and you can link Apple TV to up to five additional computers on your home network at once.
This means you can view any podcasts, trailers, video clips, photos and other downloaded content on your flatscreen TV as well as listen to music using the included remote control.
Any time you update your iTunes library, Apple TV detects that and automatically updates the content on the hard drive (either 40GB or 160GB). You can also bookmark content from your iPod for later viewing on Apple TV, and vice versa. For example, you could be watching a podcast on your iPod on the way home from work. If you don't get to the end by the time you arrive at home, you simply plug your iPod into iTunes and Apple TV will give you the option to pick up where you left off or start again from the beginning.
