Waking up to the sound of the radio in the morning is only slightly preferable to waking up to the sound of a buzzing alarm.
Even better is when you can wake up to the sound of your own music selection - and iPod alarm clocks such as the Philips AJ300D make that possible.
The concept is fairly simple - you dock your iPod in the cradle, set the time you want to wake up at and you're ready to go. A range of connectors for the different iPods is provided, and you can also connect most MP3 players using a standard 3.5mm cord. And of course, at other times the system works as a regular iPod speaker.
In the middle is a large LCD screen that displays the time and on top there is a snooze button. Other features include an iPod charging dock and an FM radio.
Lastly, the sound from this unit is actually very impressive, given that it's fairly compact and retails for much less than other similar units.
