The Olympus 1060 is the latest top-of-the line model in the manufacturer's Mju range and will launch in Australia next month.
It features a 10.1-megapixel CCD sensor plus a 7x optical zoom lens, all packed into a slimline, piano black body.
One nice feature is the Inteeligent Auto function which allows automatic application of the best settings based on the content of the scene you are about to photograph. This function is accessed easily by setting the dial to iAuto.
Other inclusions are Face Detect, Shadow Adjust and Dual Shakeproof Stabilisation technology, as well as a large 3-inch LCD screen for viewing everything.
The Olympus Mju 1060 will carry a reccomended retail price of $449.
