The Creative TravelSound i50 is a fairly unique product - it's one of the only docking stations on the market made especially for the iPod shuffle.
Docking stations for all other iPods including the nano abound, but when it comes to connecting the shuffle to a device with a docking station, you need to resort to a 3.5mm cable.
The Creative TravelSound i50's strong point is its portability: it's just over 1cm thick and measures in at around 4.5cm wide by 10cm long. It's also lightweight so you can carry it around in your bag easily.
When it comes to the speakers and sound issue, don't expect to be blown away. Not only is this unit tiny but it's also very affordable - usually both of these factors are good signs that the sound won't be anything special. The sound particularly lacks in the bass and distortion is frequently apparent.
However if you want an inexpensive portable speaker dock for your iPod shuffle, the Creative TravelSound i50 is one of the only products available that fits the bill.
