It's not often that you can say that a video game actually helps improve your brain power.
However Big Brain Academy for the Nintendo Wii aims to do just that, bringing a collection of brain-teaser games to your console.
The game was originally released on the Nintendo DS two years ago, however the games presented on the Wii version are brand new, so if you have the DS version, you can also play Big Brain Academy on your Wii.
The structure of the game is very simple: basically, you play the games in random order then at the end you are given a score. You can play against your friends in your lounge rooms or even compare scores online.
There are several different classes of games, named according to what they are intended to score you on - for example "compute" or "identify". The games are easy to get the hang of using the Wii Remote.
It's not the flashiest Wii game going around in terms of graphics and gameplay, however if you're looking for something that requires a little brain power, Big Brain Academy is worth a look.
