Few gadgets in history have been as eagerly anticipated and hyped as the Apple iPhone.
The version launching in Australia is the 3G model, which has only just launched around the rest of the world too. This version is expected to prove extremely popular over the coming weeks and shortages may even occur so if you're desperate to get hold of an iPhone, consider heading into a store very soon.
Another outstanding addition to the Apple iPhone 3G is GPS, so it can be used as a navigation device when you're on foot or in the car. Plus, if you're planning to use the iPhone for work, it offers support for Microsoft Exchange Server.
And let's not forget of course that the iPhone also has a fully functional iPod included. This is a big bonus for anyone looking to upgrade their music player and phone at the same time. Available models are 8GB (black only) and 16GB (black and white).
Is it worth buying? If you're an Apple fanatic and have been waiting for the iPhone for ages, then yes. If you're looking for the latest phone/gadget and don't mind paying a bit of money, also yes. If you're looking to buy a cheap, basic phone - then no.
The iPhone is still too new for our retailers to have offers on it in their current catalogues on Lasoo, however it is available on both the Vodafone and Telstra networks, so head in-store for more information.
